Anoamaa 1 and SVSG take United Stand Against Violence

Today marks more than the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, it marks a moral stand. The Honourable Minister and Member of Parliament for Anoamaa 1, Hon. Moefaauouo Julius Tafuna’i, has formalised a partnership with the SVSG Samoa under the UN Trust Fund Project to strengthen village-led action against violence and social harm. This partnership sends a clear message: violence is not a private matter when lives are at risk. Silence is not protection. Our children, women, and vulnerable persons deserve safety, not fear. Hon. Moefaauouo shared: “When we protect the vulnerable, we protect the soul of our community. This partnership is about courage, the courage to speak, to act, and to stand together. Anoamaa 1 will not turn away from harm. We will face it, guided by faith, culture, and unity.” Grounded in aganuu and fa’a kerisiano values, the collaboration brings together Ali’i ma Faipule, Tina ma Tamaitai, Aumaga, youth, and church leaders to act as one. Because prevention begins in the village. Protection begins with us.
