The Office of the Attorney General is proud to introduce a new internal tradition, “Team of the Week”. A small but meaningful way to recognise the dedication, long hours, and quiet excellence of our young lawyers who keep Government running, often behind the scenes and usually with a red pen in hand. Let’s be honest: legislative drafting is not for the faint-hearted. It requires precision, patience, and the rare ability to debate the placement of a single comma with complete seriousness. Yet week after week, this work is done diligently, professionally, and often without much fanfare. This week, we are delighted to announce that the TEAM OF THE WEEK is the LEGISLATIVE DRAFTING TEAM. TEAM LEADER OF THE WEEK: JASMINE FALEAFAGA Under Jasmine’s leadership, the team has demonstrated exceptional teamwork, resilience under tight deadlines, and a commitment to producing high-quality legislative work that serves the public interest and upholds the integrity of our legal system. Their efforts may not always make headlines, but they quite literally shape the laws that do. To the Legislative Drafting Team – thank you for your hard work, your humour in the face of long hours, and your dedication to getting it right (even when it means one more revision... and then one more after that). Well done, Team. You have carned this week’s recognition – and perhaps a well-deserved coffee.
