Australia High Commission Welcomes Five New Volunteers to Samoa

Anita Beck joins Imagine Science Samoa as a Science Communicator; Fiona Howat will be working as a Marketing Mentor at Women In Business Development Inc ; Tessa Hillig, a Physiotherapy Services Mentor, will join the Ministry of Health Samoa ; Lauren Lidgerwood, based with the Animal Protection Society, starts her assignment as Clinical Manager Mentor; Benjamin Mance will work with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries as a Marine Biologist. This intake will play a pivotal role in strengthening sustainable partnerships and building capacity within their partner organisations’, while at the same time strengthening the people-to-people connections between Australia and Samoa. The new volunteers were welcomed by the High Commissioner Will Robinson and staff of the Australian High Commission – we hope you enjoy your time in Samoa! The Australian Volunteers Program, funded by the Government of Australia, matches skilled Australians with organisations in the region to support their government’s priorities.
