A positive show for UB40 that featured Campbell’s first performance in Samoa, and the audience dancing in the rain is something he expressed his appreciation to the people of Samoa for. “We had a great show and hopefully we’ll be back very soon. Thank you! Big love to everyone in Samoa!” Alistair (Ali) Ian Campbell, 66, co-founded UB40 which has sold more than 70 million records worldwide and toured for 30 years with the original line-up of the band. In 2008 Campbell and keyboard-player Mickey Virtue left UB40 due to a dispute with band management and teamed up in a new band. However in August 2014, Campbell announced he had reunited with former UB40 bandmate Astro, and formed a new UB40 featuring the three bandmates Campbell is well-known for reggae music hits like Red, Red Wine and Kingston Town.
