Galatians 1:23–24 “They only heard the report: ‘The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.’ And they praised God because of me.” News about Paul began to spread among the churches. The believers in Judea hadn’t yet met him personally, but they had heard the report. The man who once persecuted the church was now preaching the very gospel he once tried to destroy. The transformation was undeniable. Paul hadn’t simply changed his opinions. His entire direction had changed. The persecutor had become a preacher. The destroyer of the church had become its servant. And how did the believers respond? “They praised God because of me.” They didn’t praise Paul. They praised God. They recognised that only God’s grace could bring about such a dramatic transformation. This is one of the beautiful marks of genuine salvation: when God changes a life, the glory goes to Him. Paul’s story reminds us that the gospel does more than inform—it transforms. It reaches into the darkest past, redirects a life, and turns enemies of Christ into witnesses for Christ. The lesson for us is both encouraging and humbling: when God works in our lives, the goal isn’t our recognition, but His glory. Our stories, like Paul’s, should point people to the grace of God. Prayer: Father, thank You for the transforming power of the gospel. Continue to shape our lives so that others see Your grace at work in us. May everything You do in us and through us bring praise and glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Have a great week. God bless and lots’a love, Warren
