Prayer carries us when we are weary and continues when answers are delayed

WATCHFUL AND PERSEVERING Ephesians 6:18 “With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Paul now widens the focus. Prayer isn’t only personal—it’s communal. He calls us to be ALERT and to KEEP ON PRAYING. Spiritual alertness means awareness. The battle is real. The pressure is shared. We aren’t isolated soldiers—we stand in the company of believers across the world. “Always keep on praying” speaks of perseverance. Prayer is not occasional. It is steady. It continues when answers are delayed. It persists when strength feels low. It carries others when they are weary. And notice this: we are to pray for ALL the Lord’s people. The armour is individual, but the battle is corporate. We strengthen one another through intercession. When one grows weak, another prays. When one is under pressure, another stands in the gap. The Christian life was never meant to be solitary. We stand together. We fight together. We pray for one another. Alert hearts. Persistent prayer. United believers. This is how the armour holds. Prayer: Father, keep us spiritually alert. Teach us to persevere in prayer, not only for ourselves but for all Your people.
