Scholarship Opportunities for Samoa in Israel

Israel has confirmed being ready to offer Samoa scholarship opportunities allowing our people to study there very soon. Ambassador of Israel to Samoa His Excellency Alon Roth-Snir in an exclusive interview with the Savali Newspaper revealed. The ambassador was happy to say that Israel has a vast system of courses and education available where they are taking their knowledge and sharing it with people that will be in various fields of study. “We have many agriculture courses. We have educational courses, we have courses on health, whether management of hospitals, or courses for nurses and doctors, medical doctors.. “We have courses on I.T., in cyber, and women empowerment, and we have centres in this world in which these students are being exposed to what Israel can offer,” he said. Ambassador Roth-Snir gave some examples that are relevant to Samoa – last year a Samoan woman did the longest course they have in Israel – 11 months and in agriculture. “She came back to Samoa and now the Samoan research institutions in agriculture can benefit from what she saw and was exposed to in Israel in those 11 months, and I have no doubt that we can have more and more of these kind of exchanges where more Samoans will come back to Samoa with the newest and the most modern Israeli capabilities and help use them here in Samoa for the benefit of Samoan people.” Asked about his message to young people who are thinking of international opportunities, his advice – think globally. “First of all, I think that today, the world is the global village. It’s really true that today, the world is a global village.” Adding that it could be a global village of ideas, of technologies, of education and to him people usually think about commerce as the global village, but no, it is beyond that. “The most important thing is, first of all, to think globally, when you build something, when you want to create something, when you are innovating and want to create a product, or you build your small enterprise in whatever issue, it is when you are teaching, educating, when you’re looking on innovations, think globally.” The Ambassador also explained that by thinking globally, the perspective and the solutions look totally different, and might apply someday to the world.
