Take Stand and Put on the Full Armour of God

PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Paul closes his letter with a clear command: “PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD.” The Christian life isn’t passive. It requires alertness, intention, and dependence on what God has already provided. Notice carefully—it is THE ARMOUR OF GOD. We don’t create it. We don’t improve it. We receive what He’s provided and put it on. Yes, it involves Scriptural understanding—we can’t stand in truth if we don’t know the truth. We can’t recognise deception if we are unfamiliar with God’s Word. But Paul is not merely calling believers to KNOW doctrine—he’s calling us to CLOTHE OURSELVES IN IT—TO LIVE INSIDE WHAT GOD HAS REVEALED. To “put on” the armour means to actively trust what God says is true. It means anchoring your mind in biblical truth when lies whisper. It means resting in Christ’s righteousness instead of striving for your own. It means allowing the gospel to shape your thinking, your reactions, and your decisions. The devil’s “schemes” are rarely loud. They are subtle. Distortion instead of denial. Compromise instead of collapse. If we aren’t grounded in truth, we can slowly drift without realising it. That’s why Paul says THE FULL ARMOUR. Not selective obedience. Not partial belief. A whole-hearted embrace of all that God has provided in Christ. In the coming days, we will look at each piece more closely. But today, the call is simple: don’t walk unprepared. Root yourself in Scripture. Abide in Christ. Stand ready. Prayer: Father, teach us not only to KNOW Your truth, but to LIVE IN IT. Guard us from deception and ground us deeply in Your Word. Help us to put on the full armour You have provided and to stand firm in Christ. Strengthen us for every scheme of the enemy. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Have a great week. God bless and lots’a love, Warren
