The Gospel of the Lord is not ours to adjust, it cannot be changed

NOT MAN’S GOSPEL. Galatians 1:11 “I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin.” Paul now makes something unmistakably clear: the gospel is NOT MAN’S GOSPEL. It didn’t originate in human thought. It wasn’t shaped by culture. It was not refined by religious leaders. The message Paul preached didn’t come from human imagination – it came from divine revelation. This means the gospel isn’t ours to adjust. It can’t be softened to suit the culture. It can’t be expanded to include human effort. It can’t be edited to avoid offence. The gospel is God’s message to humanity. It is the announcement of what He has done through Christ to save sinners. Because it is from God, it carries God’s authority. Because it is God’s Word, it is perfect and complete. Every generation faces the temptation to improve it. Some add rules and requirements. Others remove repentance and holiness. Still others reshape the message to promise prosperity, instant healing, comfort, or guaranteed success. But the gospel can’t be improved. To add to it distorts it. To subtract from it weakens it. The good news of Christ is already perfect because it comes from a perfect God. Our responsibility is not to reshape it, but to receive it, believe it, and proclaim it faithfully. The lesson is simple and steady: The gospel isn’t ours to change – it’s ours to proclaim. Prayer: Father, thank You that the gospel is Your Word and not man’s invention. Guard our hearts from the temptation to reshape or soften its message. Help us hold firmly to the truth You have revealed and proclaim it faithfully for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Have a great week. God bless and lots’a love, Warren
